This year’s Smoothie Bike tour raised $2,325 for Bike to Beat Cancer. The Smoothie Bike visited Norton Healthcare Pavilion, Watterson Tower and Norton Children’s hospital inviting employees and community members to take a seat and start pedaling for a purpose and a free smoothie. N Good Health donated $5 for each rider to Bike to Beat Cancer benefiting Norton Cancer Institute.
Norton Children’s Hospital topped the challenge raising $1,010. During the Smoothie Bike’s stop at Norton Children’s Hospital, 126 employees, 7 volunteers and 69 community members took a seat and earned a smoothie. Totaling 202 participants and $20 in cash donations!
Watterson Tower’s came in second place by raising $825. At Watterson Towers, 116 employees and 49 community members joined in on the action. They may have come in second place, but raised the most cash donations of $104!
Norton Pavilion increased participation by 50% and raised $525 with 100 employees and 5 community members.
Nearly 475 smoothies were made and nearly 950 minutes biked on this year’s Smoothie Bike tour.
